This event started with Melissa, the owner of Salon Millan, who came to us with an idea: create an afternoon where moms could treat themselves while also raising money for women in our community. We’re so grateful to Melissa for opening up her salon and giving so much to make the afternoon happen.

We had expecting moms, moms with kids of all ages, grandmothers, and even pet moms join us. Some came with friends, some came on their own, and everyone had a chance to enjoy a few hours that were really about them. There were blowouts, permanent jewelry, skincare consultations, mini bouquets, drinks, and lots of time to hang out.

One of our favorite things was seeing moms who first met at Plant & Play arrive at this event together as friends. It felt like a really good reminder that no matter what motherhood looks like for each of us, we can take time to celebrate ourselves and enjoy being around other women who get it.

And while we were doing that, together with Salon Millan and Boro Piercing, we raised $2,000 for A Woman’s Place in Doylestown.
