Moms came together at Salon Millan for an afternoon that was all about having a little time for themselves. We welcomed moms of all ages and stages, including expecting moms, grandmothers, and even pet moms, which made the afternoon feel especially meaningful.

Some women arrived with friends, while others came on their own. One of our favorite things to see was moms who first met at our Plant & Play event arriving together this time as friends. It was such a sweet reminder of exactly why we started The Modern Moms Club.

Throughout the afternoon, moms moved through the experience at their own pace. Salon Millan provided professional blowouts, Boro Piercing offered permanent jewelry, and Jennifer Ruhling shared personalized non-toxic skincare consultations. Guests could also make their own mini bouquets, enjoy champagne and non-alcoholic drinks, and take home a curated gift bag.

But what we loved most was how long everyone stayed. What was designed as an open-flow afternoon became a space where people settled in, talked, laughed, and genuinely connected. There was no rush to move on to the next thing. Moms had the chance to enjoy being taken care of while spending time with women they already knew and meeting new ones along the way.

The afternoon also had a purpose beyond celebrating motherhood. Together with Salon Millan and Boro Piercing, we raised $2,000 for A Woman’s Place in Doylestown, supporting women and families right here in our local community.

More than anything, the afternoon reminded us that motherhood can look many different ways, but the need for connection is something so many of us share. Seeing new friendships form, friendships from past MMC events continue to grow, and women simply enjoying a few hours for themselves made this Mother’s Day gathering incredibly special.
