About 25 moms, children, and babies joined us for Plant & Play at Seasons Garden Center. There were newborns snuggled in carriers, toddlers eager to dig in the dirt, and older kids excited to get their hands dirty planting and creating.

Some moms came with close friends and spent the morning catching up. Others came on their own, including a few who were new to the area and looking to meet other moms. One of our favorite parts of the day was seeing those connections happen naturally over lunch, gardening, and play.

The Seasons Garden Center education team showed families how to plant peas, lettuce, and mint to take home. The kids also enjoyed a plant painting activity while the moms had a chance to relax and enjoy lunch together.

Lunch was a highlight. Joanna put together a beautiful spread for both adults and children, and the lavender lemonade and sangria were a hit. Between the sunshine, good food, and kids happily occupied with activities, the whole morning felt easy. For a few hours, no one had to plan the activity, pack the snacks, or figure out what to do next. We could simply enjoy being together.

After lunch, families explored the garden paths and even spotted a few horses along the way. By the end of the event, everyone headed home with their plants, a gift bag, and a photo from the day. Some even took home leftovers.

More than anything, Plant & Play was a chance to slow down, spend time outdoors, and enjoy a fun morning together. We loved seeing new friendships begin, familiar friends make new memories with their kids, and families leave with a few special keepsakes from the day. A little sunshine, a little dirt under our fingernails, and a lot of good company made for a pretty wonderful morning.
